EcoFin Research Papers

Focus and Scope

EcoFin Research Papers is an open-access working paper series in economics and finance. The series publishes pre-publication research intended for early dissemination, scholarly discussion, and feedback prior to submission to peer-reviewed academic journals.

Contributions may be empirical or theoretical and may cover, but are not limited to, macroeconomics, microeconomics, international economics, monetary and fiscal policy, financial economics, asset pricing, banking, behavioral economics, development economics, and related fields.

The series is designed to facilitate rapid communication of research findings and does not impose restrictions on methodology, data sources, or theoretical approaches, provided that submissions meet basic scholarly standards of clarity, originality, and academic relevance.

Peer Review Process & Publishing Ethics Policy

EcoFin Research Papers does not operate a formal peer review process.

Submissions are screened by the Editor for relevance to the scope of the series, basic scholarly quality, originality, and compliance with submission guidelines. This screening is intended solely to ensure that submissions are appropriate for inclusion as working papers and does not constitute peer review. But it requires all submissions to be in LaTeX PDF format as described in authors guideline.

Authors are encouraged to submit papers with the expectation that they will later be revised and submitted to peer-reviewed academic journals. Publication in this series does not imply endorsement, certification, or validation through peer review.

Publication Frequency

EcoFin Research Papers publishes original working papers in economics and finance on a continuous publication basis.

Papers are released individually as soon as they are ready, without volume or issue restrictions. Each paper is assigned a unique working paper number and publication year.

The series serves as a pre-publication outlet for scholarly research and welcomes submissions intended for later submission to peer-reviewed journals.

Open Access Policy

EcoFin Research Papers provides immediate and permanent open access to all published working papers.

All papers are made freely available online without subscription or access barriers in order to support the early dissemination of research in economics and finance.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
